“I’m deeply moved by the thriving community work across the nonprofit sector and I’m honored to support an organization’s mission and the philanthropic work ahead.”

Jennifer joined The Alford Group in 2019 after serving the nonprofit sector for over twelve years with responsibilities in fundraising, staff development, project management, and data analytics. With experience as a fundraising professional for both a public library foundation and a faith-based social service agency, she is inspired and motivated by the diverse organizations serving this region.

Jennifer has repeatedly streamlined fundraising operations, created integrated fundraising strategies, trained and restructured fundraising teams, and increased donor retention rates using a data and mission-driven methodology. She has also project managed large-scale community enhancing campaigns and fundraising initiatives that were aligned with each organization’s strategic direction.

As the Director of Development serving The Seattle Public Library Foundation, Jennifer was responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program including legacy and endowment campaigns, annual fund drives, direct mail and digital marketing initiatives, and new donor acquisition strategies. During her time at the library foundation, she has rebuilt a planned giving program integrated in the major gifts work, developed new fundraising measurements rooted in meaningful KPIs, and piloted several new fundraising initiatives to diversify their revenue sources.

Before joining The Seattle Public Library Foundation, Jennifer served as the Associate Director of Development at Catholic Community Services of Western Washington where she directed all system-wide fundraising initiatives and donor communications. Her responsibilities included the strategic planning and fundraising efforts for major and individual giving, special events, planned giving, and the parish-based annual campaign.

During her time at this social service agency, she centralized the fundraising operations for over 170 individual programs, supported multiple major capital campaigns, and managed an exceptional fundraising team.

When Jennifer isn’t analyzing data, you can find her hiking the Cascades with her dog, discovering new books through her book club, improving her golf game, trying a new cook book, or volunteering as a tutor for her local library.
