Molly HansenVice President
“My professional and personal life have always been about making the world a better place through service to others. It is my joy and honor to serve every client organization and individual.”
Molly Hansen re-joined The Alford Group after a seven year hiatus during which she led development teams at Northlight Theatre, The Joffrey Ballet and Youth Guidance. A love for helping individuals and organizations achieve their highest and best brought Molly back to consulting and The Alford Group.
During her previous 13 year post as Vice President with The Alford Group, Molly worked with many organizations including Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Unity Worldwide Ministries, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois and the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. She also served as lead recruiter in the launch of Alford Group Executive Search and was the top producer for seven years.
Prior to joining The Alford Group the first time, Molly was the Director of Development at the Goodman Theatre during the planning and early capital campaign that ultimately raised more than $30 million and created the Goodman’s new home on north Dearborn in Chicago’s Loop.
In her more than 30 years in the not-for-profit sector, Molly has developed a strong portfolio of success in board recruitment, development and training; staffing analyses, management and coaching; major gift strategies and solicitation training; capital campaign planning and implementation; strategic planning and change management. And she has become known for creating environments that are focused on collaboration, problem-solving, mutual respect and innovative thinking.
For the last five years, with founding Spiritual Director Rev. Carol Saunders, Molly has been pioneering Abundant Life Spiritual Center, a Unity affiliated church, in Deerfield, Illinois. She serves on the Board of Directors, as Meditation Leader and as a Prayer Chaplain.
Molly and her husband Scott are empty-nesters having raised their three children in the north suburbs of Chicago. She enjoys learning about world religions and faith movements, cooking and traveling with Scott to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to watch the bald eagles catch fish.
