The Alford Group Turns 40!
The Alford Group is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2019. Since the day Jimmie Alford founded the firm in 1979, diversity has been a core value of ours. Forty years later, diversity is at the forefront of positive social change now more than ever. We remain committed to leading the effort to diversify donors and boards, to diversify donor engagement strategies, and to promote inclusivity throughout our sector. 2019 also marks the 20th consecutive year of our role as the Diversity Sponsor of the Diversity Workshop and Diversity Art Showcase with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Together we will continue to create and deepen impact across our sector. Below you will find more information and ways to celebrate with us throughout the year!

Diverse High Net Worth Donors: Assessing the Emerging Philanthropic Landscape
The Alford Group and the Mays Family Institute on Diverse Philanthropy at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy will be releasing a new report this fall that focuses on the rising influence of diverse high net worth donors based on demographic trends in the United States. The report will include new and important data that will shed light on the giving patterns of high net worth households from diverse backgrounds. By studying diverse high net worth donors, our sector will be better equipped to assess the range of experiences, motivations, and approaches that drive diverse donor preferences and behaviors. These identity groups (Asian American, Hispanic/Latino/Latina, African American and LGBTQ) will supply valuable knowledge about donor attitudes and practices for the 21st century philanthropic landscape.
Release date: Fall 2019
